The amount of cuts that have been made to the Youth Service this year, to me is ridiculous. Where are the young people of this country receiving their support networks, encouragement and hope now?
Society is destroying its own future.

THIS IS WHAT I WANT TO CHALLENGE!

http://news.bbc.co.uk/1/hi/education/2699275.stm

This BBC article shows the lack of enthusiasm, understanding and trust by young people and politics. I totally understand where these young people are coming from, the perceptions of parliament to our youth society are not positive.

Young people need to be inspired by the leaders of our country, by the people who "make the decisions".

Young people need to realise that their voice counts, that they don't need the queens english to express themselves.

Why aren't we investing in this - these people are going to run our country one day, why not let them start now?!

its time to start creating my product!

Our product subject focuses on "politics awareness for young people".
The product will include a poster campaign, advert and info pack for all young people to raise awareness of politics and for young people to use their VOICES.

WARNING: this campaign is not for adults! (unless your fun) ;)

Day One, Second Year!

Started back at Uni today, introduced to "Blogging" - Youth Work suddenly got technical!

Starting the Negotiated Module with Lin and struggling to narrow down my topics for creating a project, luckily Chantelle is here to bounce idea's off!!

Deprivation within society and its young people is an issue which is largely surrounded by politicians, media masses, educators and community assumptions. Are these young people all as "rough and ready" as they are made out? And who is to blame; society, families? Or are the young people of today really doing this to themselves?

The recent rioting in the country is surrounded by the controversial media representation of the rioters, who were they really?
